January 9-10, 2010 Ohio RA Winter Hotel Camp Out,
Southeast Regional Meeting and Brunch Reserve your room
TODAY at the Historic Lafayette Hotel
in Marietta! We have a block of 15 rooms
(camp sites) held until December 31, 2009 for RA Members and interested BMW
riders who wish to stay over on Saturday night. Call the Lafayette Hotel at
800-331-9336 or 740-373-5522 and reserve your room today by mentioning that you
are with the BMW Riders Association. Rooms start at $49 for a cabin room,
$69 for a Queen, and King rooms are $79 plus taxes. The Lafayette Hotel is a Grand
Riverboat Era Hotel right on the Ohio River. Just beyond the hotel is the Historic
Harmar Village with its' quaint brick streets. Tour the city and enjoy
it's many shops, restaurants, antique stores and historic buildings and
homes. We meet in the hotel lobby on Saturday evening for fun around the
campfire (bring a candle). On Sunday morning enjoy a delicious all you can eat
breakfast buffet that will begin at 10 AM in the Rufus Putnam Room of the
hotel at a cost of $13.86. Breakfast includes the full buffet, your
choice of beverage and includes tax and gratuity. We will hold a short
meeting around 11:00 AM. to discuss and plan the 2010 Ohio riding season
as well as the state of the RA on the local and national levels. Hotel accommodations and

February 14, 2010 Ohio RA Northwest Regional Winter
Breakfast-Meeting This years meeting will
be held at Charlie's Restaurant and Coney. Breakfast starts at
9:00 AM with an informal meeting at 10:00 AM. We will discuss the upcoming riding season, review planned local events, and hopefully provide some additional details
about where the BMW RA International Rally will be. Ladies who attend this meeting will
receive carnations for Valentines Day. The address is: Charlie's Restaurant

March 14, 2010 Ohio RA Central State Regional Meeting and
Brunch Breakfast will be held at 9:00 AM with
a short meeting following at 10:00 AM at the Pioneer Restaurant located at 50
Columbus Rd., Utica, Ohio 43080 (SR 62 just west of SR 13). This is the
last indoor meeting of the off-season. Everyone should be back from Daytona
Bike Week by then and have some great stories to share. Details of the
RA International Rally and our Ohio Region calendar of events

April 23-25, 2010 Ohio RA Mt. Vernon Spring Camp
Out This is our season opener on the last full
weekend (Saturday and Sunday) in April at the Kokosing Valley Camp and Canoe located 1/2
mile west of Millwood, OH (on the south side of US 36 just west of US 62)
Anyone wanting to arrive on Friday is welcome to do so. Camping costs will be $5 per person
per night.
We are looking forward to another great year at this location with its' many amenities: flush
toilets, hot showers, a laundry, miniature golf, basketball, baseball, horseshoe
pits, and an on site camp store, just to name a few. Restaurants can be
found close by in Millwood, Danville and Mt. Vernon. We will be in "Area B"
(right across from the Office/Store) and have the picnic shelter. There is water and electric at each
site. Camper-trailers will be $25 per night. Please register
at the camp office upon arrival. The Ohio RA will provide continuous
coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Saturday night, "share a dish if you wish"
potluck. Adult beverages are permitted. Excellent riding roads are
found in every direction from the campgrounds. Also, nearby is the Kokosing Gap
Trail for hikers. Come on out and see why everyone loves this nice
location to break in your new camping equipment. Start the 2010 riding

June 18-20, 2010 RA Ohio Summer Camp Out (Fathers Day weekend)
at Beecham's Sunset Woods near
Bellville, Ohio.
Hosted by Randy and Lynne Beecham, with co-chairs Marty and Sigrid Sackman.
Plenty of shaded primative camping in the woods or under the stars in the grassy field, hot outdoor showers, porta johns, BIG group campfire, Friday night chili pot, RA continuous coffee and water, Saturday morning guided breakfast ride (82 miles of great roads and scenery), door prizes, 50/50 drawing and more. Camping is $5 per person per night. Saturday night on site dinner available for $12 and MUST be paid in advance. Steak or Chicken (please specify when you mail your order), baked potato, green beans, salad and roll. Send check or money order, made payable to Cindy Hoskey by June 4th to:

Sunset Woods is located just south of Bellville Ohio at 6509 Ankneytown Rd. GPS coordinates N40 34.981, W82 30.557 Look for a concrete driveway at the very top of the hill on the east side of the road. It will be marked with orange cones and BMW signs as you approach. is an opportunity for you to enjoy both the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days (July 9-11) and the Honda Super
Cycle Weekend (July 16-18) at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, OH. See the

October 1-3, 2010 YBMW Unrally at Stoneridge Terrace Campgrounds 33807 Winona Rd. Salem,
Ohio 44460. Come join us in celebrating the club's 30th anniversary. Friday night pot luck, bring something easy
to share (the club will provide hot dogs for the fire), Saturday night, catered dinner to include fried chicken,
cheesy potatoes, green beans with bacon, salad and roll. Club will provide beer, wine, coffee, and soft drinks.
Cost for the event is $27 per person, payable upon arrival. To be included in the dinner please rsvp by September

October 29-31, 2010 Ohio RA Halloween Camp Out at the Trail Riders Campground, 4 miles north of Cadiz on SR 9. Primitive
camping, pit toilets, and a paved road into the campsite. Look for a
Harrison State Forest sign marked “Trail
Riders Campground”. All interested BMW riders are invited to this end of
season the camp out. RA-Ohio coffee, tea, etc., Sam Hill Memorial Ride on Saturday at noon,
"bring a dish if you wish" potluck on Saturday evening and more. Ghouls and

November 14, 2010 RA Northeast Ohio
Meeting and Breakfast We are looking for a NEW
location for this event and welcome your suggestions. In the past it was held at Atwood
where members could choose to staying in the lodge or camping out (weather permitting)
on Saturday. In addition the lodge provided us with a private room and breakfast buffet for our Sunday morning
meeting. However, Atwood Lodge has announced it will be closing, so we need to relocate this one. The ideal loaction would be more towards the NE Ohio clubs' locations, with similar
amenities, so scout out this area and send your suggestions to your Region Rep, Mark Hoskey for

December 12, 2010 RA Southwest Ohio Meeting and
Breakfast just southeast of Dayton, 9:00 AM at the Buffet in the
Washington Square Shopping Center. From I-675 take the
Miamisburg-Centerville Exit 2 and head east on SR 725 to Lyons Road then left

Buckeye Beemer's meet for breakfast every Sunday, 9:00 AM at the Flying J
