January 7, 2012 Ohio RA Winter Hotel Camp Out,
Southeast Regional Meeting Reserve your room
TODAY at the Historic Lafayette Hotel in Marietta! We have a block of rooms
(camp sites) held until December 14, 2011 for RA Members and interested BMW
riders who wish to camp out on Saturday night. Call the Lafayette Hotel at
800-331-9336 or 740-373-5522 and reserve your room at our special group rate by mentioning that you
are with the BMW Riders Association. Rooms are $49 for a cabin room and
$59 for a Queen, plus taxes. The Lafayette Hotel is a Grand
Riverboat Era Hotel right on the Ohio River. Tour the city and enjoy it's many shops, restaurants, antique stores and
historic buildings and homes. We will meet in the hotel lobby Saturday evening for fun around the campfire (bring a
candle). This year the usual Sunday morning meeting will be held instead in the lobby on Saturday evening after dinner at around 9 PM to
discuss and plan the 2012 riding season as well as the state of the RA on the local and national levels. Sunday morning
you are on your own to enjoy the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet at a cost of $9.95. Hotel accommodations have been

February 12, 2012 Ohio RA Northwest Regional Winter
Breakfast-Meeting at Charlie's Restaurant and Coney. Breakfast starts at
9:00 AM with an informal meeting at 10:00 AM. We will discuss the upcoming riding season, review planned local events, and hopefully provide some additional details
on the upcoming BMW RA International Rally. Ladies who attend this meeting will
receive carnations for Valentines Day. The address is: Charlie's Restaurant

CONFIRMED!March 11, 2012 Ohio RA Central State Regional Meeting and
Brunch Breakfast will be held at 9:00 AM with
a short meeting following at 10:00 AM at the Pioneer Restaurant located at 50
Columbus Rd., Utica, Ohio 43080 (SR 62 just west of SR 13). This is the
last indoor meeting of the off-season. Everyone should be back from Daytona
Bike Week by then and have some great stories to share. More details of the
2011 BMW Firecracker RA International Rally and our Ohio Region calendar of events
will be on the agenda.

April 27-29, 2012 Ohio RA Mt. Vernon Spring Camp
Out This is our season opener on the last weekend in April at the
Kokosing Valley Camp and Canoe located 1/2 mile west of Millwood, OH
(on the south side of US 36 just west of US 62). Camping is still $5 per person per night tenting or bike pop-ups.
We are looking forward to another great year at this location with its' comfortable facilities: flush toilets, hot showers,
a laundry, volleyball, basketball, baseball, horseshoe pits, and an on site camp store, just to name a few.
Restaurants can be found close by in Millwood, Danville and Mt. Vernon. We will be in "Area B" (right across from
the Office/Store) and have the picnic shelter. There is water and electric at each site. Camper-trailers will be $25 per
night. Please register at the camp office upon arrival. The Ohio RA will provide continuous coffee, tea,
and hot chocolate. Saturday night, "share a dish if you wish" potluck. Adult beverages are permitted.
Excellent riding roads are found in every direction from the campgrounds. Also, nearby is the Kokosing Gap Trail for
hikers. Come on out and see why everyone loves this nice location to break in your new camping equipment. Start the 2012

June 14-17, 2012 RA Ohio Summer Camp Out (Fathers Day weekend) this
year we will be camping out at the RA Grand National at Copper Mountain, Colorado. See below and the RA RAlly web site.
June 14-17, 2012 BMW RA Colorado Grand National Rally at the Copper Mountain Ski Resort
located in Summit County, Colorado, 75 miles west of Denver in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. To celebrate the RA's 40th
annual rally we are returning to the great riding state of Colorado that was the site of the first ever RA event. For

July 20-22, 2012 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, OH.
This is North America's largest motorcycle swap meet with dozens of track and off-road amature racing events, bike shows, vendors and more.

August 26-28, 2011 the BS Rally is back hosted by the Buckeye Beemers at Whispering Hills RV Park near Shreve, OH. This great rally site was
host to the 1982 RA National as well as for many years the Buckeye State (aka. the BS) Rally. Located 3 miles south of
Shreve, OH on SR 514. Great riding through Ohio's Amish communities where you will find excellent homemade foods,
handmade wears, local art and more. The campground has hiking trails, Frisbee golf, swimming pool, fishing lake,
putt-putt and there is a reasonably priced restaurant with home cooked food right on the grounds. Saturday night
entertainment and a group campfire and coffee all weekend long. For more park info visit the

September 30 – Oct. 1-2, 2011 YBMW Unrally at Stoneridge Terrace Campgrounds, 33807 Winona Rd. Salem,
Ohio 44460. Friday night potluck, bring something easy to share (the club will provide hot dogs for the fire). Saturday
night, mobile barbecue dinner to include chicken, ribs, pulled pork, Texas baked beans, potato salad, salad and roll.
Club will provide beer, wine, coffee, and soft drinks. Cost for the event is $31 per person, which includes dinner and
two nights camping, payable upon arrival. To be included in the dinner please RSVP by September 22 nd to

October 26– 28, 2012 Ohio RA Halloween Camp Out at the Trail Riders Campground,
4 miles north of Cadiz on SR 9. Primitive camping, pit toilets, and a paved road into the campsite. Look for a Harrison
State Forest sign marked “Trail Riders Campground ”. All interested BMW riders are invited to this end of
season the camp out. RA-Ohio coffee, tea, etc., Sam Hill Memorial Ride at noon, "bring a dish if you wish"
potluck on Saturday evening and more. Ghouls and gobblins welcome. Contact the RA Ohio Region Rep for details. GPS

November 13, 2011 RA Northeast Ohio Breakfast and Meeting will be held at
the Green Leaf Restaurant in Wooster. The Green Leaf Restaurant is on the northeast side of Wooster at 2905 Cleveland Rd.

share BMW RA news. Breakfast buffet is $7.35 and includes beverage, tax and tip. What a deal! The meeting room is
FREE with fifteen or more in our party so please plan to attend. This is a nice restaurant and a very popular one

December 11, 2011 RA Southwest Ohio Meeting and
Breakfast at the Bob Evans Restaurant northeast of Cincinnatti off I-71 at (the Lebanon) exit 32.
Breakfast begins at 9:00 AM with a short informative meeting following breakfast. We expect several RA Executive Board
members to attend and share details of the 2012 National rally and more. The official map-look-up address is 99
