I heard from two different sources that the rooms were all sold out for the rally. Well! I just reserved a room today at 7:00 P.M. on 23 March for the 23rd 24th and 25th of July. They are not sold out.

Exactly. We were there this past weekend and that was one of the issues. The night staff, somewhere in Indonesia I assume, has been telling people that the rooms are not available (because some big organization has them all). Well, guess who that is.

So yes, there are still rooms left. And we are getting info on more local options for when the rooms run out. There is more lodging capacity in the area than we will ever need, but it'll all be more expensive than the lodge rooms and it won't be in Rally Central. Some may be several miles away.

I just reserved a room. Not cheap but I will assume it is a nice place. Looking for a roommate to cut the costs.:rolleyes:

I just now canceled my reservation for a room at the Canaan Valley Lodge for the Rally weekend. The lady told me there was a waiting list for rooms so they may contact the list. Wouldn't hurt to call just in case. (304)866-4121

Last I spoke to them, the Lodge was full. FWIW, Blackwater Falls has rooms available and is just north of Canaan, outside of Davis.

I got my room at Canaan last week...seems I called just after someone had cancelled. I'd suggest calling every day or so, as it is unclear when they will start calling the waiting list.
