questions on ERC and Chills and Thrills event

on the Events Roundup page, it mentions the cost of the ERC is $40

but on the ERC page itself, it says the cost is $45

typo? which is it?

also, it looks like there are no signups for the Chills and Thrills event? and no cost?

lastly; according to the program the Chills and Thrills goes from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM - is that just how long the range is open for that event? or does the actual event take five hours? - maybe someone could just explain a little more what the event involves

The cost is $45 - 40 was the typo. But, that's still a smokin' deal for a full day of instruction. :)

This is being run by the local Motor Officers who put it on. There is no charge and they said they can handle about 50 people. Just be there at the time if you would like to particpate. It's very cool even just to watch.

As I understand it, this is a somewhat easier version of the kind of range Motor Offices have to complete to qualify. They will demonstrate their riding skills and explain how to do this, then let people try it themselves one at a time. We hope to have some bleachers in place for spectators. It only takes a few mintures for a person to go through, so that's the basis for the 50 or so people they thing can participate.

In my opinion, they rock. Idaho and Oregon have worked together on their rider instruction and are NOT using the watered down program from the MSF.

I guess about ten or fiteen of us braved the blazing sunshine and participated in the Chills and Thrills. They had several exercises set up with two or three levels of difficulty for each: circle, snowman, figure-8, intersection, and a labyrinth. Then they had a separate course where they were all strung together in one course. I worked on them with both the K75RT and the R1100GS. Great practice!

Yeah; that was fun; a bit of a challeng on the ST 1300; since it's still a little new to me but it was nice to get some free advice from the pros
