This picture was taken at the Laconia Race Track in 1979. Its a 1978 R-80/7 with a Lufmister ferring and bags, Reynold back rest on fog lights on the crash bars. I wish I took more pictures when I was younger (23) when I purchased my first Beemer. Lets see yours.

Only joined the Munich clan back in '01, buying an 1150GS for all the forest roads here in the middle of the Colorado Rockies.

At the top of Guanella Pass with the Continental Divide in the distance...

Here is my first Beemer! A 1976 600/6. I put about 60,000 miles on this bike back in the double nickel days. She would do at least 90 mph though.

Wow, that's basically the plain version of my first (and still only), a '91 K75RT which came with a low seat. I've since converted it to high seat.

My first BMW was only 2 years ago, a 2002 F650CS. Quickly traded for a 2002 R1150R.

1974 Curry R90/6

I bought it from a friend for about $1,000 in 1990 or so.

I sold it to another friend about a year later for $1,000. He still has it, but now it is silver :(

Silver is a great color for BMWs, but the Curry was a very interesting color that I thought looked very "period" on that bike.

I've been a little late in jumping on the BMW bandwagon. Having spent my entire adult life on Japanese bikes, I finally made the leap to a bike with some personality. Here's my first and only BMW, a 2009 R 1200 RT that I bought last January.
