Volunteer: An event of this magnitude needs your help! Please visit the volunteer page and consider signing up for a shift! Click here: http://www.bmwra.org/volunteer
Registration: Upon arrival, you will be directed to Registration to obtain your wrist band and/or tent tag. Because we have such attractive lodging rates, you must show your wrist bands at check-in when you get your room. This will verify that you are with our group and eligible for the special pricing. Tent tags must be displayed on all tents.
Seminars: We have a couple of rooms for seminars. A sign-up sheet will be available. If you'd like to give a talk or seminar, feel free to sign up. Seminars will be conducted on an informal basis.
Motorcycle Service: The dealerships are very busy in June so are unable to attend the rally. Here are the Colorado BMW dealerships. If you anticipate the need for tires or service please call and set up an appointment.

Pikes Peaks Motorsports, 5867 North Nevada, #150, Colorado Springs, CO. 80918. Phone: 719.635.3004
All the dealerships will work hard to accommodate emergency service.
Altitude and Weather: Bring a good mix of clothing and riding gear. By 9 am in June, it starts to get warm. Summer showers normally start to pick up by early afternoon. Where Copper Mountain is located, weather can be a bit funny since the Ten Mile range is just a mile to the east and the continental divide is just up the road on CO 91 at Freemont Pass. It is recommended that you dress in layers. Most of the rain storms are hard and fast but they can pass within a few minutes. Bring along a top rain jacket that you can put on in a couple of minutes over your jacket. Remember to bring sunscreen. There is about 50% more ultraviolet radiation at 10,000 ft. than at sea level.
Since we are staying at 9,700 ft. elevation, take care not to push it too hard. We will have information at Registration about the signs of altitude sickness. It’s not an issue for most but the first day can wear you out a bit. At 10,000 ft. the oxygen value is about two-thirds the value at sea level. Drink plenty of water, eat regularly. Listen to your body. If it tells you to slow down, do so. If you’re out riding, pull over, have a snack and enjoy the scenery.
Alternate transportation around the rally site and local area...
Getting around at the rally is going to be effortless. The Summit Stage is FREE, FREE, FREE. It travels from Copper Mountain throughout the entire county. This includes Breckenridge, Frisco, Leadville. Take a look at the link to see the schedule. Don't feel like riding? Hop the Stage and go exploring. You want to ride but someone else in your group doesn't? Let them hop the stage. Oh and it's FREE!

Shower accomodations: We will have private rooms for showering. Guests will check in at the employee housing office, grab a key, towel, soap, wash cloth, and then go shower. Afterwards, just drop off the key. Morning and evening shower hours are available.
Would you like to just fly to the rally and have your bike delivered to you? Here's your chance.
FEDERAL COMPANIES PROVIDES UNCRATED MOTORCYCLE TRANSPORTATION
Federal Companies, agent for Allied Van Lines, has been providing motorcycle transportation in the continental US since 1991. They transport between 10,000-12,000 bikes per year, for people buying, selling, moving, vacations and those having restoration work done.
Maybe you'd like to ride the Rockies, but live on the East Coast and vacation time is limited. Did you know you could ship your bike to Denver, CO and fly in and ride your own bike where you want instead of spending most of your time getting there? Allied Van Lines transports the motorcycles on 8x4 wooden pallets, secured with 4-tie downs in an enclosed air-ride trailer. Normal transit time is 2-3 weeks, but can take as little as 1 week.
Visit their website at www.funtransport.com or email motorcycles@federalcos.com. You can also call at 800.747.4100 ext 2217 for the first available coordinators. Hours are 7-6pm central time Monday-Friday and 10-2 central on Saturday.
